Serving El Paso With Love Since 2019
We are a volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to freely distributing Krishna Prasadam — spiritually sanctified, plant-based food — to anyone in our community who is hungry.
Our Story
Krishna Kitchen was founded in El Paso, Texas in 2019 with a simple but profound mission: to offer free, nourishing Krishna Prasadam to anyone in need. What began as a small community effort has grown into a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity serving thousands of meals across two cities.
Our food truck became the heart of our operation — a mobile kitchen that could bring Prasadam directly to the communities that needed it most. From parks and community centers to migrant shelters and street corners, Krishna Kitchen has shown up wherever hunger exists.
In 2023, we expanded our reach across the U.S.–Mexico border through Krishna Kitchen International's Amor que Alimenta program, bringing free Prasadam to families in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Our mission has no borders.
Who We Are
Krishna Kitchen is powered entirely by volunteers — devoted practitioners and community members who give their time, energy, and love to prepare and distribute free Prasadam. We have no paid staff. Every dollar donated goes directly toward food, supplies, and operations.
We are a Vaishnava-inspired organization, rooted in the tradition of offering food to God before distributing it freely to all. But our service is open to everyone — we welcome volunteers, donors, and recipients of every background, faith, and walk of life.
The Krishna Kitchen Food Truck
Our food truck is more than a vehicle — it is a symbol of our commitment to showing up for the community. It has carried thousands of plates of Prasadam to distributions across El Paso, to migrant families at the border, and to community events throughout the region.
Currently, our truck is undergoing engine repairs. We are raising $5,500 to replace the engine and get back on the road. With $4,000 already funded, we are just $1,500 away from resuming full operations.
Krishna Kitchen International
Through our international arm and the Amor que Alimenta program, we cross the border to serve free Prasadam in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Led by Charles Young, this program extends our mission of unconditional service to families and migrants on both sides of the border.
