Volunteers serving free meals to the community
Our Mission

Food Is Love. Love Is Service.

Krishna Kitchen freely distributes plant-based Krishna Prasadam to anyone in need — no questions asked, no strings attached. We serve because service itself is sacred.

Our Mission Statement

Krishna Kitchen is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity dedicated to the free distribution of Krishna Prasadam — spiritually sanctified, plant-based food — to anyone in our community who is hungry, regardless of background, belief, or circumstance.

Founded in El Paso, Texas in 2019, we operate from a spirit of unconditional love and devotion. We believe that feeding others is one of the most direct expressions of compassion, and that every person deserves a nourishing meal offered with dignity and care.

Through our food truck, community distributions, and international outreach, we work to eliminate hunger one plate at a time — in El Paso, across the border in Ciudad Juárez, and wherever our service can reach.

More Than a Meal

What Is Prasadam?

Prasadam is a Sanskrit word meaning "mercy" or "grace." In the Vaishnava tradition, food that is first offered to God with love and devotion becomes Prasadam — spiritually purified food that nourishes not just the body, but the soul.

Every meal prepared by Krishna Kitchen is made with fresh, wholesome plant-based ingredients, cooked with care, and offered as Prasadam before being distributed freely to the community. We believe this transforms an ordinary meal into an act of grace.

Prasadam is offered to everyone — regardless of religion, background, or belief. It is simply food made with love, offered with love, and received with gratitude.

"
"Food offered to God with love and devotion becomes Prasadam — mercy that nourishes body and soul."
— Vaishnava tradition

What We Stand For

Unconditional Service

We serve everyone who comes — no applications, no eligibility checks, no conditions. Food is a human right, and we offer it freely.

Community First

We are rooted in El Paso and serve our neighbors. Every distribution is an act of community care and mutual support.

Plant-Based Nourishment

All Krishna Prasadam is plant-based — wholesome, nutritious, and prepared with the highest care for the health of those we serve.

No Borders to Compassion

Through Amor que Alimenta, we extend our service across the U.S.–Mexico border into Ciudad Juárez, because hunger knows no nationality.

Spiritual Foundation

Our service is rooted in devotion. We cook, offer, and distribute Prasadam as a spiritual practice — an expression of love for God and humanity.

Volunteer-Driven

Krishna Kitchen is powered entirely by volunteers who give their time, energy, and love to feed the community. Every meal is made by hand with care.

All figures reflect distributions since founding. We never invent statistics — these numbers represent real meals served to real people.

Our Vision

We envision a world where no one goes hungry — where food is shared freely as an act of love, and where every community has access to nourishing, dignified meals. Krishna Kitchen is one small expression of that vision, growing one distribution at a time.
